Who We Are?
Biafra Solidarity Foundation (BSF) is a non-profit making, apolitical humanitarian organization which is registered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Founded on the 29th of January, 2019 by a few concerned Biafrans with the sole objective of assisting less priviledge Biafrans, whose human rights have been abused by the state and Biafrans who are in dare need of medical and legal help. The idea to establish this humanitarian organisation came as more and more people and families living in the South-eastern part of Nigeria, otherwise, called Biafra were being extrajudicially killed daily in their numbers by the government machinery. Majority of the victims are young people in their 20s, 30s and 40s who were being bundled into various government prisons and detention facilities. Those who were not so lucky, were shot and killed extrajudicially in their own homes and on the streets in the entire Biafraland. For the government agents, every man seen on the streets in the south-eastern states of Nigeria is accused of being a member of the IPOB, a non-violent organisation seeking only for a Referendum to exit a non-functional state of Nigeria. Many of the victims are breadwinners in their respective families and their death made their children fatherless, leaving only their poor mothers who have no known source of income to take up the burden to sustain her children. As a result, untold excruciating hardship was afflicted on many citizens living in and or around these Nigerian territories with no known assistance or support from within or outside Nigeria. For this reason, the birth of this organisation became inevitable.
Our objectives are: To assist the less priviledge Biafrans,whose human rights have been abused by the state, the victims of direct violence by the Nigerian state. To provide medical assistance and legal aid to less priviledge Biafrians and others who cannot afford it and also Assistance to Africans in similar helpless situations..
To provide educational aid and scholarships to qualified students who do not have the financial means to further their education.
To render general assistance and shelter to the downtrodden in our society. To assist and support victims of state security personnel abuses in our society.
To assist in bringing security in Biafra land in al our society due to security challenges in our land. To educate our people on the dangers of illegal migration through the mediterranean sea and crossing through the Sahara Desert.Organising seminars and symposium to educate intending migrants to Europe on the dangers of illegal migration routes to Europe.
To provide food for the less priviledge in our society.
